Climate change and the scarcity of raw materials shape our society fundamentally and are leading to a change in our mobility behaviour. Not least for this reason, the North Rhine-Westphalian cluster policy focuses on the future of mobility.
The state of NRW thus initiated the Fuels and Engines of the Future Network in order to pool all drivers and expertise from fuel extraction to end use, and to develop solutions for sustainable mobility concepts.
The use of different fuels, new engine technologies, the development of high-performance batteries and site development are the key issues in the network.
Strengthening North Rhine-Westphalia as a location
The Fuels and Engines of the Future Network defines itself as a communication and information platform for all stakeholders from research, production and services. The overall objective is to establish a basis for cooperation between science and economy in order to design, implement and support projects.
"North Rhine-Westphalia has a lot of potential and is ready for trialling new mobility concepts," says Dr Frank Köster, network manager and senior consultant at agiplan. "We want to identify potential partners and identify development opportunities for businesses."
Activities in the network also cover targeted public relations, consulting services relating to settlements in cooperation with business development programmes as well as workshops and training for companies. The Fuels and Engines of the Future Network is one of nine networks in the EnergieRegion.NRW cluster. Energie Agentur.NRW is responsible for the cluster management.
The agiplan experts, as network partners, bring their experience into numerous projects.
